Mid-Week Noon Hour Communion
Resuming in September, gathering on Wednesday's in the sanctuary, led by the Rev. Andrew Johnston, 12:10-12:30pm.  A time of assurance.  Bring a sandwich and stay for a cup of tea.

Iona Service
Our next service will be September 8th, at 7:30 p.m.  A time of reflection and deep joy with songs, prayers and readings in the tradition of the Celtic Christian Church. Read more.

Church School
Sunday mornings, learning the stories of the Bible and the love of God within a lively Christian community. During the summer months, children 12 and under are invited to attend our One Room Schoolhouse, a combined class for all ages. In September, we will continue with our age-based groups for toddlers to teenagers, during the 11:00 a.m. service. Read more.

The Laziest Bookclub Ever
On the first and third Wednesday of every month through to the end of August. Organised by tthe youth and young adult ministries of the Presbytery of Ottawa. We'll meet at 7pm at the Bridgehead on Elgin and Maclaren for fair-trade coffee as we discuss a short passage of scripture, news, philosophy or poetry. Come and see where the conversation leads us! College and Careers
Continuing to meet after the summer months, contact Aisling B. to get on the email list.

Upper Room
Taking a break over the summer and resuming in the fall, a gathering for all 25 years+ for a time of study and socialising. For details, speak with Hughanna S. or email the church.

Prayer Group
We are a small team who meet at the church on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. to pray for each other and for anyone in need. You're invited to join us, or to leave your prayer requests in one of the boxes located just outside either of the doors of the sanctuary. Strict confidentiality is maintained. Speak to Adel or Yvette.

Women's Missionary Society
All members and friends of the WMS are welcome as we resume our meetings in the fall. Speak to Alice C. for details.

Caregiving Group
While we will not be meeting over the summer, the caregiving group offers support and encouragement for those taking care of their loved ones. Please contact Diane S. or Marj F. on the schedule for autumn.

Handbell Choir
On break for the summer, but resuming practices in the Fall. New ringers are most welcome, please consider joining us after the summer break.

Knitting in the Round
A fellowship group of all ages and skills, which grows in Christian community as we continue with our individual projects. Over the summer, we will be meeting in different homes, speak to Anna P. for locations and details.

Men’s Fellowship
A golf outing in July, a BBQ in August. Contact Forrest L. for details.

Rainbow Circle
A fellowship group that considers matters of sexual orientation in the context of Christian faith. On break throughout the summer months, we will resume monthly gatherings again in the fall. Contact Sheila S. or David F.

Summer Open Doors
Through July and August we will open the doors of our historic sanctuary each Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (with the exception of July 5-14 and July 26-Aug 7th, when music festivals will fill the church. Two people are needed for each 4-hour shift. Also, after services on Sunday mornings in July and August, we will invite visitors to gather by the lectern for a brief tour of the church from approx. 11:15 to 11:30. One volunteer is needed each Sunday. If you can help in this summer outreach ministry, please sign up on the Open Door chart in the photocopy room, or contact Sheila U.

Summer Family Gatherings
A family BBQ each Wednesday of July. Gather in the courtyard behind the church at 6:00pm. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided - come with a salad or dessert to share. A great time to meet others informally. Bring a soccer ball or Frisbee, and we'll also enjoy the lawn of the Supreme Court. Sign up in Grant Hall, speak with Mary Ellen B., or email the church, so we can be sure to prepare enough food for all.

A Walk Through Our Heritage
Sunday July 25th, 11:15-12:30, join Sheila U. for a tour from St. Andrew's, through the Parliamentary Precinct to the Canal, pausing to acknowledge the many references to people Presbyterian and symbols Christian. Each participant will receive a specially-prepared booklet.
