Maundy Thursday: How this meal began! Maundy Thursday gets its name from the Latin word Maundate which is also the root of the English word mandate. In the midst of Holy Week, this is the day we remember how it was that the meal we call communion began and the commandment given to us as we share it together, to love one another, as Christ has loved us. This year join us at 6 pm in St Andrew’s Hall for a delicious dinner for all ages. As we eat we will also share communion, discovering together some of the many meanings that are attached to this meal.
