For Children
You see me, Father, stand before my home’s door, watching my little ones at play. You are, and you are love: hear my faith-cry for these who are more yours than mine. Give each of them what is best for each. I cannot tell what it is. But you know. I only ask you love them and keep them with the loving and keeping you did show to Mary’s son and yours.

God of love, we pray for our children as they grow up in our family circle. Give us understanding of their needs, and show us how best we can help them as they face their problems and prepare for the life of the world. Help us to establish a relationship of trust between them and ourselves, and to make our home a place where at all times they may find love and security. In Christ’s name I pray. Frank Colquhoan

O Father,
give perfection to beginners,
intelligence to the young ones,
aid to those who are running their course.
Give sorrow to the negligent,
zeal of spirit to the lukewarm,
and to those who have attained, a good ending, for the sake of Christ Jesus.
