Using our facilities

St. Andrew’s Church has rooms of various sizes available for the community to use. Whether you’re hosting a banquet, teaching yoga, or gathering with friends and colleagues for a monthly meeting, St. Andrew’s has a space that will be appropriate. Our Sanctuary also has amazing acoustics for concerts and recitals.

We are located in downtown Ottawa at the corner of Wellington and Kent (the address is at 82 Kent St.) across from the Supreme Court of Canada—walking distance for most organizations in the city. The rates for the meeting spaces are competitive, and the rooms are spotlessly maintained in a stunning architectural context.

St. Andrew’s Hall: 1950 square feet
Width 30 ft, Length 65 ft
Capacity: 300 standing, 200 with chairs only, and 120 seated with tables

Spacious and airy, with a tile floor. This room is already used for various church dinners, meetings, and dance groups. It’s a flexible space that can be used for physical activity or set up with chairs for a lecture or town hall discussion. The room has access to a large kitchen for coffee and tea and washing-up facilities. Fully accessible, with an elevator t 84 Kent St, giving access to St. Andrew’s Tower. There is a further elevator down to the Hall.

Fergus Grant Hall: 700 square feet
Width 21 ft, Length 45ft
Capacity: 130 standing, 80 with chairs only, and 50 seated with tables

This is another spacious room for meetings. It’s carpeted floor and contained wall space makes the room also useful for multi-purpose activities with youth or groups. Ideal for meetings and receptions. There is a kitchenette attached, with serving window, ideal for coffee and tea preparation and serving of food. Automatic dishwasher available for use.

The Currie Room: 722 square feet
Width 19 ft, Length 38 ft
Capacity: 85 standing, 65 with chairs only, and 30 seated with tables

The Currie Room is a comfortable room for meetings. The central table is ideal for conducting business, or it can be pushed to the side and the room can then be flexibly arranged for a variety of uses. We also have other tables that can be set up for any configuration required. The room has an intimate atmosphere, with wide windows looking out onto a courtyard, and one end of the room set with upholstered chairs grouped with small tables, and a piano. There is an adjoining kitchenette for coffee and tea preparation.

The Pottinger Room: 380 square feet
Width 20 ft, Length 19 ft
Capacity: 25 standing, 20 with chairs only, and 10 seated with tables

This is an intimate room, suitable for small gatherings. Two comfortable sofas are in front of wide windows (very private, as the windows are one-way glass), with room for a couple of meeting-sized tables with chairs.

Smaller Rooms off St. Andrew’s Hall:
There are four classrooms off St. Andrew’s Hall, the largest at 12 ft by 24 ft, suitable for small meetings, with wooden tables and chairs. Tiled floor.
