St. Andrew's Sunday School

Friday, October 31

Happy Halloween!

I hope and pray your festivities are joyful this evening.

Earlier this fall, I attended a gathering for youth ministry leaders hosted by the Presbytery Youth Animator. The speaker was Rev. Blair Bertrand who shared a powerful reminder for us as parents and caregivers. Faith isn’t just something we teach—it’s something our children catch from us. It’s often about influence more than instruction. When young people see adults who are genuinely excited and engaged in what God is doing in their lives and in the world, it sparks something in them. It makes them want to experience that same joy and purpose.  So whether you’re praying with your kids, reading Scripture together, or encouraging them to act justly and love others—know that it all matters. Even just knowing that you do these things on your own is important for them too.  Your example is shaping their faith journey in ways that go far beyond words.  Thank you for all you do and all you are. What your children see in you, they just might catch for themselves.

Thanks to Stacey, Heather Pilkey, Josh and Miriam for leading Church School last week.

This week we'll present bibles to Micah and Natalie at the beginning of Sunday School, a St. Andrew's tradition for students in grade four.

There are spots still available at PA Day Camp on Friday Nov. 7.  We're still looking for youth helpers in grades 6 and up, Let me know if you'd like to come and be a part of this fabulous day!

Coming Up:

Peace and blessings of Christ Jesus to you,
