Men's Fellowship

Open to all men of St. Andrew’s, the Men’s Fellowship provides an opportunity to get to know and support each other better as friends in Christ. We also welcome men from outside the Church.

The group normally meets in St. Andrew's Hall, the Church basement, at 6:00 pm on the last Monday of each month from September to November, and January to May. Meetings normally include a simple meal (suggested donation: $10), a short devotional, and a guest speaker. Occasionally, we have discussion evenings around some topic of general interest rather than a speaker.

Members of the Men's Fellowship respond to service requests related to a variety of Church activities and special events during the year. We also make modest donations to worthy causes from any funds we are able to raise.

New members are always welcome. For more information, or to be placed on the Men's Fellowship email list, please contact Stephen Campbell, Convenor of Men's Fellowship, at (mensfellowship@standrewsottawa.ca).

Upcoming Men’s Fellowship Meeting Dates

Mark your calendars!  On November 24th, the Men's Fellowship is sponsoring a special presentation entitled "A Call for Solidarity, the Christians of Palestine".   Throughout all the carnage and horror in that region, the Christian's of Palestine, long a persecuted minority, have felt abandoned and forgotten.  Our speakers will be addressing the challenges of peace and reconciliation in the region, and more specifically , the cry for help from Palestines Christian community.

We are blessed by the calibre of speakers who have agreed to join us.  Bill Janzen is a Member of the Order of Canada, and an emminent theologian and historian.  Rula Odeh is Chair of the Canadian Friends of Sabeel, a national ecumenical response to the call of Palistinian Christians for solidarity.

Given interest in the topic and the emminent speakers we have joining us, the Men's Fellowship welcomes the St. Andrews congregation to join us.

Dinner is at 6PM, (suggested free will contributio of $10.00), followed by the presentation at 7:15.

We are asking that you please RSVP by November 19th to Bob Bowes, (bowes125@hotmail.com) so the volunteers can plan accordingly.
