St. Andrew’s Weekend Retreat
September 19th - 21st 2025
Quiet Reflection, Study, Song, Worship, Fellowship and Fun
This year the annual congregational retreat at Gracefield Christian Camp and Retreat Centre will be held from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, September 21.
The programme begins on Friday night with an assembly for all ages and the opportunity to get to know each other through activities and games. On Saturday, there will be opportunity to take part in Bible study, play cooperative games, canoe and swim (if the weather permits), enjoy a bonfire, roast marshmallows and enjoy each other's fellowship at meals and at play. This year the worship service will take place before dinner in the open air chapel beside the lake. Sunday will be a time of rest, to join in singing, prayer walks, and to say farewells. We depart, renewed and refreshed, ready for the “new” church year.
The outdoor worship service is often a highlight of the weekend. Surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation, with our church community, we profoundly sense the Spirit’s presence. Everyone is invited to take part in leading the service this year. You might bring an instrument, prepare a drama, write a prayer, or lead a song or reflection. Consider how you can share your gifts in worship
