The outdoor chapel on Beaver Lake. Canoes and campfire sing-a-longs. A congregational retreat. Come by yourself, come as a family. A great time to grow in community and faith.
Usually taking place the second weekend of September, the annual Gracefield congregational retreat is an opportunity for rest and reflection and a wonderful way to begin a new church year with others from St Andrew's. Come and join in times of quiet reflection, study, song, worship, fellowship and fun.
Whether you are newer to the church, or have been attending for years, come, and be a part of this event.
Faith In the Midst of Chaos:
Spiritual Practices in Daily Life
September 9-11, 2016
We all need to intentionally nurture our faith. What are the practices, spiritual disciplines and traditions that will help us find balance in our lives and support you and your family?
Some possible workshops may be:
- Experiencing God in nature
- Praying through the day
- Godly play
- Expressing our faith in art
- Faith sharing through the generations (child, youth, adult)
- Sharing family rituals
- Passing along faith and faith practices to children in ways that are fun, healthy and not frightening.
New this year: The St. Andrew’s Youth Grade 6+ are invited to bunk out in the cabins (male and female cabins). Although the youth will be a part of the weekend’s plans some group building and youth centred activities will be offered specifically for the young people.
Registration forms are available here and at the church. Directions to Gracefield camp available here.
