St. Andrew's is a vibrant, caring community and you are invited to be a part of it. There is a wide range of groups for study and community, from Bible studies to support groups to socials to musical opportunities. There are a number of monthly and weekly events for all ages that you are welcome to join.


Children & Youth

 

Nursery:

A trained nursery worker and volunteers care for young children during the 11 a.m. Sunday morning worship service, as well as during the 10 a.m. summer services. A nursery pager system is available.

Church School:

Passing on the faith to our children, church school classes are taught by enthusiastic and caring teachers.

Summer Camp:

A full-day vacation bible school for kids 4+ takes place one week in August.  Songs, games, stories and activities all based on a yearly theme from the Bible. Visit StAndrewsOttawa.ca/SummerCamp page for registration and details on this year's theme.

Kids’ Church:

Experiential worship for children ages 1-10. Monthly on Saturday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. with light potluck dinner. (Runs concurrently with the Mission Possible program for grade schoolers)

Kids on Mission:

Designed to inspire your kids to missions such as:  stocking food banks, making gifts for kids in hospitals and shelters, and assisting with disaster relief. Families of Kids on Mission and Kids' Church share a simple meal together at 5:30 p.m.

Confirmation Classes:

From time to time classes are also offered for young people to discuss what it means to become a member of the church.

Youth Group:

The St. Andrew's Youth Group for ages 13-17 meets every Sunday during the 11am service.  This is a place for youth and by youth.

Seasonal Wednesday Evening Studies:

Twice a year, we meet for six Wednesday evenings to share a simple meal and to gather in small groups for study.

Let's Talk About...

An adult discussion group, gathering the last Sunday of each month for a simple lunch together, a topical study and discussion.

Mid-week Bible Study:

Held once a month at St. Paul's Presbyterian, a study led by the minister.

Annual Congregational Retreat:

Held in September at Gracefield Camp, a weekend of learning and growing together.

Ministry & Fellowship

Caregiving Group:

Providing care for the caregivers, a time of support and discussion.

Church Choir:

Sharing our gifts of music for Sunday morning worship. Practices weekly.

Handbell Ringing:

Sounds that will lift your spirit, plays selected Sunday mornings at St. Andrew's and other churches in the area.

Men’s Fellowship:

Monthly meeting of men of all ages with a shared meal, short devotion and theme discussion.

Prayer Group:

This faithful group meets weekly at the church to pray for the needs of the church and community.

Rainbow Circle:

A faith group that supports people of any sexual orientation through fellowship and learning.

Women’s Guild:

These women organize events such as the St. Andrew’s Rummage Sale, Scottish Tea and Bazaar and other church events. The Guild gathers for monthly meetings to enjoy presentations by guest speakers, a light lunch, and a time of fellowship.

Women’s Missionary Society:

A monthly meeting at the church for worship, mission presentations and refreshments.
