Music is an important and vital aspect of worship and community at St. Andrew’s Church, Ottawa. Under the leadership of the Director of Music, Thomas Annand, our worship is enhanced by the regular participation of the Choir and the St. Andrew's Ringers.
From our original organ in 1874, through careful maintenance and a new installation in 1987, the organ has remained central to our worship in music. Enjoyed each Sunday morning, as well as during frequent concerts and recitals, the Guilbault-Thérien organ is a gift we all enjoy. (A more detailed description is available here.)
Practicing weekly throughout the year to lead our worship on Sunday mornings during the 11am services. Concerts also take place throughout the year, at Easter and during the Christmas season.
Practising each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. with our choir director Tracey Stabback, the children's choir takes part monthly in the Sunday morning worship services, as well as with special concerts at Christmas and Easter.
The St Andrew's Ringers practice each Monday night from September to May 6:30 to 8:00pm , and join the 11am workshop service monthly.
Speak with the director, Lynn Boothroyd, if you'd like to be a part of this ministry of music.
